Your child interviews someone in the neighbourhood they do not know well. Open questions rather than yes-or-no ones. Notes while the person is still talking. Then a long conversation turned into a short, clear account of what was said.
A kid who can write a clear email, defend an opinion, or hold a real conversation is a kid who will be heard. Writing as a tool, not a school subject.
