Your child picks a real writing style (review, opinion piece, how-to guide, letter, short story, or news report), chooses a topic they care about, and writes a finished piece for a real audience. Drafting, editing, and revising the way actual writers work, not a five-paragraph essay for nobody.
Ages 9–14 · Project guide · 3 skill levels
Your child writes the same idea six ways for six different readers, and discovers that voice is a choice rather than a personality. Then they revise their own draft, which means seeing the gap between what they meant and what they actually put on the page.
A kid who can write a clear email, defend an opinion, or hold a real conversation is a kid who will be heard. Writing as a tool, not a school subject.
