What's inside.

  • ✓Clothing swap organisation and planning guide
  • ✓Cost-per-wear calculation activities
  • ✓Price comparison and value assessment
  • ✓

What they are actually learning.

Your child runs a clothing swap and works out what things are genuinely worth. Cost per wear is a division problem that changes how you look at a price tag. The gap between new and secondhand is a percentage. By the end, value is not the number printed on the label.

  • Number Sense: Dividing price by the number of times something gets worn to find cost per wear
  • Percentages: Working out the discount between the new price and the secondhand one
  • Financial Literacy: Shopping inside a limit and making the trade-offs that keep them there
  • Critical Thinking: Deciding what value really means once the price tag stops being the answer
Why it matters

When maths lives in real money, real measurements, and real decisions, it stops being a worksheet and becomes a tool. A kid who uses it to get something they actually want remembers it for life, and they did it with you. That is the moment "I taught my kid something real" starts to feel possible.
